Our Pathologists

All of our pathologists are Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the College of American Pathologists, and each is fellowship trained in either gastrointestinal pathology, general surgical pathology, or hematopathology.

M. Nicholas Feliciano, M.D., F.A.C.P.

M. Nicholas Feliciano, M.D., F.A.C.P., received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1994. He then attended Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, completing an anatomic and clinical pathology residency in 1999. Dr. Feliciano completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School Dallas in 2002.

Before joining North Texas Pathology Laboratories in 2012, Dr. Feliciano served as an Assistant Professor of Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He also served as a Commander in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy, returning from active duty in December of 2011 after supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Sue Hilton, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Sue Hilton, M.D., F.A.C.P., received her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas, in 1989. She went on to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas, completing an internship in general surgery in 1990 and an anatomic and clinical pathology residency in 1994. Dr. Hilton was board certified by the The American College of Pathology in Hematology in 2001.

Before joining North Texas Pathology Laboratories in 2007, Dr. Hilton practiced at ProPath where she was a Partner from 2000 to 2006.

Charles E. Mangum, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.P.

Charles E. Mangum, M.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.P., received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas in 1991. He continued his training there, completing an anatomic and clinical pathology residency along with a fellowship in surgical pathology in 1996.

Dr. Mangum completed a Masters of Business Administration from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business in 2005.

Monica I. Ruiz, M.D. F.A.C.P.

Monica I. Ruiz, M.D., F.A.C.P., received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas in 2006. She went on to the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, completing an anatomic and clinical pathology residency in 2010.

Before joining North Texas Pathology Laboratories in 2011, Dr. Ruiz completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology at Caris Diagnostics.
